National level Spell Bee Competition

2- Aprajita Pandey- Class 8-C

3- Abu Hadeed-     Class 8-B

4- Pranjal Singh Parihar- Class 9-B

The above students have qualified for National level Spell Bee Competition which will be held on 22^nd December in Coimbatore.   

To create strong base in the Hindi Language, “Mahatma Gandhi Rashtra Bhasha Hindi Prachar Sansthan, Pune” organized ‘Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Olympiad 2019’ for the students.

 The exam was conducted on 03^rd August 2019 at Bethany Convent Senior Secondary School Naini, Prayagraj under the able guidance of Rev. Sr. Shilpa, Principal of the Institution, in which 474 students from classes I to X participated.

Keeping alive the traditions of excellence and awarding the achievers on 23^rd November 2019 during the Morning Assembly Rev. Sr. Shilpa congratulated all the students who appeared in ‘Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Olympiad 2019’ and thanked all the students for their performance and all the teachers for their dedication. Our 11 students who marked their position at National level received certificate and medals for their achievements by Rev. Sr. Shilpa, Principal of the Institution.

Event: 12^th GFI National Grappling Championship 2019

Date: 30^th  August  - 1^st September 2019

Venue: Maharishi Dayanand University.

Angela B. John: Age group- 16-17 yrs/ W. group - +65kg. Participated in GI and No-GI Grappling .  She bagged gold in No - GI style defeating Odisha abd got silver in GI style against odisha.

Ashlyn B. John: Age group: 12 yrs/W. group: 38 kg participated in Both the styles and got gold by defeating Tamil Nadu in Both the style.

Johanna James: Age group: 12 yrs/W. group: 50 kg. Participated in both the styles and bagged silver in both against Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

Kadisha James: Age group: 10 yrs/W. group: 38 kg. Participated in both styles and bagged Gold in both by defeating Haryana.

Bethany Students of class X, XI and XII of commerce stream participated in this fest held at Delhi Public school on 30^th and 31^st of August, 2019. On 30^th of August, the list of events conducted were:  just a minute, presentation on current economic issue and standup comedy on any one of the management principles of Henry Fayol. The next day i.e. 31^st Aug, 2019 the following events took place: business Quiz, Poster making, logo designing, presentation on new and creative business ideas and debate. Students of almost 7-8 schools participated in this fest and gave tough completion to each other. The prize distribution ceremony was held after the competition of all the events.

Students of Bethany Convent school secured positions amongst the winner of the competitions.

Archita Tripathi and Rashi Singh of XII Com. Secured III position in poster making.

Adarsh Singh XII-Com and Mitesh XI-Com secured II position in logo designing.

Sonali Verma of XI-Com and Mohil Khera of XII-Com. Secured II position in Business Quiz.

Satvik Shukla and Animesh Shukla of XII-Com secured II position in the presentation of innovative Business Ideas.

Faiza Shamshad and Ansh Arora of XI-Com, secures II position in innovative products.

The fest was an endeavour to help in creating a real business like platform to enable the commerce enthusiasts understand the aspects of trade and commerce by way to distinctive events.

Aditi Mishra- SOF English - Zonal Rank - I,  International Rank - 6 got  Rs.5000, Certificate & Gold Medal

Vaagisha Mishra - SOF English - Zonal Rank - I, International Rank - 6 got  Rs. 5000,  Certificate & Bronze Medal.

Deepak Shukla - SOF  Cyber Olympiad - International Rank - 3 got Rs. 1429, Certificate & Bronze Medal.

Our teachers, Mrs. Urooz Fatima Class Teacher of VIII-A (SOF G.K. - 2018-19) and Mr. Bipin Chand Gupta Class Teacher of IX-A (SOF Maths - 2018-19)  were awarded with the best District teacher. Both of them were awarded with Rs. 1000 cheque, a trophy and certificate.

Venue: Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium Prayagraj.

Event Name: 1^st National Indian Games and sports federation.

We the student of Bethany Convent Senior Secondary school, Naini Prayagraj, Vaibhav Shukla and Ansh Arora for team U.P. participated in 1^st National games organised by Indian games and sports federation. We completed against 3 other teams i.e. Rajasthan, Kerala and West Bengal. We faced West-Bengal in quarter final and won by 3-1 lead and in semi-final against Rajasthan we got a walk over to the finals and in final we faced Kerala and won by 2-0 lead.

Our student Angela B. John of XI Commerce Participated in 12^th GFI National Grappling Championship 2019 which was hosted by the Grappling Associated of Uttrakhand and organised by Grappling Federation of Indlia (GFI) , affiliated to United  World Wrestling (UWW), Asian Grappling Committee (AGC), and South Asian Grappling Committee (SAGC), UWW affiliated to international Olympic Committee and bagged a signal medal in + 65 kg No-Gi style in 16-17 years age category. The event dated from 31^st May to 01^st June 2019 held at D.S.B. International Public School, Rishikesh, Uttrakhand. 

Awards are a way to encourage good behavior and enucleate competitive spirit. The overall achievers (2018-19) of class IX  A, B, C. were awarded Certificates on 27^th April to recognize the extra talent of our students and motivate them.
